Last night I found out that Jim has to work tonight. While this won't disrupt our dinner plans, it did leave me without a lunch buddy for today. It's actually not a problem for me, because then I just go out and get sushi. I suppose I could have gone with A to get food, but she wanted Taco Bell and I was looking for something on the lighter side.
So I just picked up my usual order from Yo Sushi, which may be the best cheap sushi I've ever eaten (besides Ray's of course). I get a veggie roll and a futo maki, with my total coming to $9.07. I could have sworn it used to be $8.80, so I'm not sure what's going on with that. Did they raise sales tax recently? I dunno.
I scored today with an extra large helping of ginger. The food, as always, was super good. I'm trying to be good so I can indulge tonight in creme brulee. We are going to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for dinner and then to Bing Crosby's for dessert afterwards. We may end up simply staying at Ruth's Chris for dessert, though. They have a to-die for apple thing that may be calling my name. Of course, Bing's has a quartet of creme brulees that I'm sure are just as amazing. Plus I wouldn't mind Jim trying that sorbet I ordered with R the other week. And her apple tatin did look aabsolutely delicious. So many choices. So few calories available.
